Date | 25th January 2017 - 25th January 2017 |
To commemorate the 2017 Holocaust Memorial Day, this seminar, facilitated by RNCM's Head of School for Composition, Prof. Adam Gorb, examined the ongoing research being undertaken by the ‘Performing the Jewish Archive’ project. It focused on how music and theatre became fractured as a result of the Holocaust, and how works once thought lost have been recently rediscovered and performed. It was presented by Dr. Lisa Peschel and Dr. David Fligg, supported by RNCM students: Rachel Fright (piano) and singers Rachel Speirs, Stuart Orme, Matthew Nuttall and Jacob Newsham.
