Josef Lustig wrote and directed the musical Prince Bettliegend while a prisoner in the Terezín/Theresienstadt Ghetto.

Josef Lustig directed Prince Bettliegend and played the role of Pokus in addition to writing and directing the play. He was born January 11, 1911, was deported from Prague to Terezín/Theresienstadt on May 15, 1942 and died there on January 28, 1944.
