
Vĕra Mullerová
Pianist and teacher.
Věra Mullerová is Professor of Piano at the Pilsen Conservatory, Czech Republic, and is a visiting tutor at Pilsen’s Zapadoceska College. She graduated from the Prague Conservatory in 1978, and followed on with studies at Prague’s Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (HAMU). Further studies continued at the Kiev Academia of Music. As a student, Vera took part in various competitions, whilst at the same time beginning extensive concert activities as a soloist in Russia, France, Slovenia, Germany, England, Japan, the USA, as well as in the Czech Republic. Her other musical activities include repeated attendance on competition jury panels, including those organised by the Anglo-Czech Trust in London, and master classes for the International Summer School at Frensham Heights, Surrey. In cooperation with Czech Radio, she has undertaken 50 recordings, plus work for Czech Television, Slovenia Radio, and editorial work for publishers including Panton and Bärenreiter. In September 2016, Vera performed the world premieres of Gideon Klein’s Topol (The Poplar Tree), and piano works by Josima Feldshuh in Pilsen, as part of the ‘Out of the Shadows’ festival organised by the Performing the Jewish Archive project.
