Noach Oberman (1875-1962) was a founding member of the Jewish Literary Club (Yidisher literarer klub) in 1906. Besides literary evenings the club had a theatre and choir section where Jac Weinstein and Moses Pergament were active. In the 1930s Oberman was the chair of the Jewish Drama Society founded in 1922.
